Eaglets can be quite a handful. Adults are kept very busy defending the nest and finding food for the always hungry babies. When eaglets hatch, they are covered with thick down which keeps them warm until their regular feathers develop. Eaglets grow quickly and are soon able to move around in the nest and start grabbing at food as soon as it arrives.
The parent eagle perches over its young, bringing food to help them become full-grown eagles.
